A Weekend in Washington National Forest

One sunny weekend in the spring, my wife and her brother decided to plan a couples get away to hike several trails in the mountainous George Washington National Forest. We booked a cozy cabin on the river’s edge of Shenandoah’s North Fork in the small town of Edinburg VA and spent the better part of two days hiking. The trails included Mill Mountain Trail, concluding at the Big Schloss overlook, Tibbet Knob, (which in my opinion has a more majestic view than Big Schloss) and Kennedy Peak Trail (which may have been the best view out of them all, pictured above).
